A list of rules and ideas for photographs

Rules

To make sure there is an organized system for submissions, there are some rules that need to be put into place. First rule is to try to keep the images no larger than 750x750 pixels. This will ensure a comfortable viewing experience for anyone who wants to vote on your picture. I would suggest that if your image is larger than that size, to use a simple Photo editor to cut it down. All images should be either jpg or png files, and All pictures should be of pets. When voting, try to vote for the animal you resonate with the most. Not everyone has a high resolution camera!

Dogs

We love our puppies! No matter the breed, color, or size, nobody says no to a dog! Whether it be the young puppy who rips up your couch or the loyal hound dog who rests next to you every night, every dog has its place in a family. Some good ideas are catching puppies in the moment, as their energetic attitudes lend themselves to photographs. They can have some wild attitudes in the water or nature, so really get them out there and let them explore. If your dog is older, try to catch them in their favorite spots. A good caption also goes a long way!

Cats

Cats and Kittens hold a special place in our hearts, whether you have an outdoor cat who comes by for treats, an indoor cat who is protective of its area, or multiple cats that act dynamically with each other, all are welcome. Some hints we have are to show them enjoying their homes. A good-sized scratching pole can be the play place for multiple cats, and even better if they have multiple places to lie down and relax. A curled-up cat makes for a nice, peaceful picture! If your cat is more of the sassy variety, getting them riled up with a toy can be a fun way to show how they truly act.

Fish

Glub glub glub fish lovers! Have a huge tank and want to show off every little creature that lives inside? This is the perfect place! Careful with your flash, as it could harm the fish and give you a glare in your picture. A nice little habitat can make them feel at home as well, giving good picture opportunities and giving them a good amount of entertainment. Whether it is the little guppy you got from the carnival or a hand-picked selection of fish to populate your tank, we are happy to see any and all that you have to offer!
